There was an atmosphere of holiness right at the main intersections, much appreciation at being appreciated, a few tears, hushed comments that “We need much prayer,” and “That was beautiful. Thank you,” echoed by many other Thank You’s.

From our Holy and Blessed Nursing staff and from me for initiating this blessing today, thank you indeed.

The entire facility gathered in the Dining Room and welcomed guests and everyone prayed together, led by the Director of Nursing, residents, the Rehab Services Manager and the Chaplain. The service concluding with a viewing of the National Prayer Events at the Cannon House Office building on Capitol Hill in Washington DC.

The record was previously held by the Christopher Reeve Foundation, with 193 wheelchairs. Local radio station WXRQ was on hand broadcasting live from the parade, and WSMV-TV (channel 4) featured the event on its six o’clock newscast. The Columbia Daily Herald also published a front-page article.

Our residents here at Signature HealthCARE of Orange Park recently spent a day at the Clay County Fairgrounds for ‘Senior Day.’ The group visted the Early Florida Village and sampled country cooking, homemade lemonade and sweet tea. Residents also enjoyed petting the 4H/FFA livestock, watching the World Famous Frisbee Dogs perform, and seeing a special live music performance by the Sweeney Family Band &  Willy’s Washboard Jamboree.

The Signature Service Corps is a grassroots service organization designed to help those fellow stakeholders or people in our communities in need, offering services of fellowship and support including volunteering or donating time, leading an emergency relief initiative, preparing meals for the hungry, visiting stakeholders or their family members in the hospital, circulating sympathy cards for those in need of loving encouragement, as well as many other kinds of active help wherever it is most needed.

To elevate the quality of life of our residents, their families and our dedicated stakeholders through a community partnership and a spirit of service.

Mission:
The Signature Service Corps will revolutionize the long term care industry through recruitment, retention and recognition of volunteers in order to enhance the quality of life of our residents, their families, our stakeholders and our community.
